I started my Biology Teaching Blog in 2015 with the intent of sharing my teaching insights for the Living Environment (NY State) curriculum. Ten units, ten blog posts. That was the plan. It is a stand-alone piece which I update regularly as I tweak instruction.
In 2018 I digitized and expanded a project I began back in 1990, when I started my teaching career. That project, and the others that follow, are the volumes that can be found by clicking the Books tab above. I see each work as a capstone of the years I spent formulating the instructional units that comprised my courses. In 2019 I added Teaching Resources to this site to offer access to individual assignments I use within each instructional unit. With this addition, my entire Living Environment course is available. My teacher presentation files and accompanying student note files (the bulk of the LE course) are also available in Teaching Resources. The intent of this page, GKC-Edupinion, is to offer my Cat's Eye View of education and related topics that have influenced and informed me in my professional life. I may offer anecdotes, editorials, predictions....I'm not sure what else. It will be an evolution. Stay tuned for future posts...
