There's a Hair in My Dirt Science Concepts & Vocabulary Bundle - Ecology
These two activities (vocabulary matching and science concepts) were designed to be used with the Gary Larson book There's a Hair in My Dirt: A Worm's Story. The book is an excellent supplement to a unit on ecology. It is available on amazon:

You can download a crude powerpoint that I made to go with the book for free from my blog! I display it in my classroom as we read the book together. Use the powerpoint slides with visuals to discuss concepts mentioned in the book. Students can then complete the powerpoint slides (as a worksheet) by finding and writing the page number where the concept is found and explaining the concept.
I recommend purchasing a class set of the book so students can participate easily with the reading.
